Profil Pasien Yang Dilakukan Tindakan Bronkoskopi Di Bagian Paru Rsud Arifin Achmad Provinsi Riau Periode 2011 - 2015

Bronchoscopy is being used for diagnostic and therapeutic procedure for lung disease. The aim of this study was to observe the profile of patients with bronchoscopy procedures in Pulmunology Department Arifin Achmad General Hospital Pekanbaru. This study was a descriptive retrospective study using medical records data from Jan 1st 2011 – Dec 31st 2015. Bronchoscopy was performed in 176 patients, male (84,09%) were found more common than female (15,91%) with most common age group was 45 - 64 years old (59,09%). The most common early diagnostic before bronchoscopy procedure was lung tumor (70,45%). Mass (28,04%) was the most common presentation in bronchoscopy result. Specimen was mostly taken using bronchial washing (66,67%). Negative in BTA result was the most common found (91,67%). The conclusion for this study was bronchoscopy procedures were most common used in lung tumor patients with mass presentation. There were some missing datas in this study, and the format of the report hadnt been standardized, so its better to make some standardization for reports format to get a complete results.
