Pengaruh Penambahan Surfaktan Terhadap Kapasitansi Spesifik Elektroda Superkapasitor Serbuk Gergaji Kayu Karet (SGKK)
The addition of surfactant of Sodium Dodecyl Sulfate (SDS) in activated carbon electrodes (ACE) based on from Rubber Wood SawDust (RWSD) has been analysed. The ACE synthesis was performed by combaining chemical and physical activation process. All samples were devided into four catagories such as : 0 M, 0.5 M, 1 M and 1.5 M. The physical properties density was calculated by analyzing mass, radius, and the thickness of the ACE. The electrochemical properties of ACEs were analyzed by using Cyclic Voltammetry (CV) technique at scan rate of 1 mV/s. The value of density before-after carbonization and physical activation was found to be increased after the surfactant addition. Specific Capacitance (Csp) of each sample was 105.3968 F/g, 100.6545 F/g, 90.7667 F/g and 57.8688 F/g respectively for 0M, 0.5 M, 1 M and 1.5 M sample. Adsorption of nitrogen gas (N2) on active carbon electrode with concentration of surfactant 0 M and 1.5 M was 978.8820 m2/g and 694.9770 m2/g respectively. XRD characterization showed the peaks of carbon electrodes were observed at 2θ of 25.7470o to 47.2130o, showing carbon electrode has an amorf argitalite property.
