This study discusses the differences of independence of male and female students in SMA Negeri 12 Pekanbaru. The purpose of this study is 1. To know the description of independence of male students in SMA Negeri 12 Pekanbaru. 2. To know the picture of independence of female students in SMA Negeri 12 Pekanbaru. 3. To find out whether there are differences of independence between male and female students in SMA Negeri 12 Pekanbaru. The method used is descriptive and comparative quantitative method. In this study, researchers used data collection techniques that questionnaire in the form of Likert Scale. The source of this research data is all ten graders in SMA Negeri 12 Pekanbaru.
