Karakterisasi Sel Superkapasitor Menggunakan Elektroda Karbon Limbah Daun Jati
Research in the manufacture of carbon-based superkapasitor has been successfully done using teak leaf waste. The purpose of this study was to analyzy the effect of KOH activator concentration on the electrochemical cell capacitance value of carbon material and characterize the physical and electrochemical properties. The process of making carbon electrode was by pre-carbonization process at 2500C temperature for 2.5 hours, then chemical activation using KOH activator with concentration of 0,2 M, 0,3 M, and 0,4 M. The electrode-making process uses a Hydrallic Press with maximum 8 tons, the density was measured before carbonization. The sample of activated using CO2 with a burning temperature of 8500C. The different concentrations of these activators affect the density, crystallinity properties, surface area, morphology, and carbon content and specific capacitances. The density of carbonization increases as the activator concentration increases, Lc decreases as the activator increases. Based on BET analysis, the carbon surface area increased with increasing activator concentration and for EDX analysis often the activator concentration increased, the carbon percentage was decreased, and the specific capacitance values of each sample were 135.3 F/g, 123 F/g, and 243 F/g.
