Wildfire has become a problem which is affecting any sector of life such as
worsening lung function. The objective of this study was to describe lung function of
wild firefighters in Kampar Regency firefighters department. The study was done
with descriptive cross sectional. The sample of this study was wild firefighters in
Kampar Regency firefighters department with total sampling methods. The data of
age, nutrition status, length of work, smoking habits, and personal protective
equipment (PPE) got from interview. The value of lung function was obtained by
conducting direct examination towards the respondents. Lung function prevalence
from 28 persons were 18 person (64%), aged 31-40 years, overweight nutrition status
12 person (43%), length of work ,10 years smilar with .10 years was 14 person
(50%), smokers 20 person (71%), and half of the subject 14 person (50%), use
personal protective equipment rarely. The statitical result was found 6 person (21%)
worsening lung function.
