Potensi Tanaman Kangkung Air (Ipomoea Aquatic Forsk) Sebagai Fitoremediator Ion Timbal (Ii), Kadmium (Ii) Dan Kromium (Vi)
ABSTRACT
Processing techniques using plants polluted environment known as
phytoremediation. One of the plants that has potential as an agent phytoremediator
is plant water spinach (Ipomoea aquatic Forsk). This study aims to determine the
level of capacity of the plant water spinach as phytoremediator lead (II), cadmium
(II) and chromium (VI). Phytoremediation process is conducted by planting kale
lead ions in a solution of water (II), cadmium (II), and chromium (VI) with a
concentration of 25 ppm for 12 days with a variety of day 0; 3; 6 and 12. Analysis
of lead (II) and cadmium (II) using Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometer (AAS)
and analysis of chromium (VI) using a UV-VIS spectrophotometry. The optimum
absorption efficiency for lead (II), cadmium (II) and chromium (VI), respectively,
are 48.87%; 33.30% and 29.72%. Based on the results obtained, the optimum
content of lead (II), cadmium (II) and chromium (VI) in water spinach plants
respectively 219.5414 mg/Kg; 133.9800 mg/Kg and 125.2000 mg/Kg.
Bioconcentration factor values (BCF) optimum obtained for lead (II), cadmium
(II) and chromium (VI), respectively, are 10.8409; 5.7479 and 5.4239.
