Meningkatkan Kemampuan Mengenal Huruf Melalui Media Puzzle Huruf Pada Anak Usia 4-5 Tahun Di Taman Kanak-Kanak Pertiwi I Kecamatan Tembilahan Kabupaten Indragiri Hilir
Based on observations made especially in children aged 4-5 years in Kindergarten Pertiwi I Tembilahan Sub-district Indragiri Hilir Regency, By using education media appropriately and variably can be overcome the passive nature of students. Based on that means media procurement needs to be done so that the learning process of students can occur optimally. Research conducted by the author took the location in Pertiwi I Tembilahan District Indragiri Hilir Regency. The research time will be conducted in March to July 2017Type of research used is Classroom Action Research. Classroom action research is a research done by teachers in their own class through self-reflection with the aim of improving their performance as teachers, so that students' learning outcomes become increasing. Based on the result of the research, it can be seen that the improvement of the ability to recognize the letters of children in TK Pertiwi I Tembilahan Subdistrict Indragiri Hilir Regency on the initial observation on the indicators of the number of scores of 36 with the percentage of 50% entered in the MB category rose in cycle I the number of scores 174 with the average percentage 70.37% entered in the category of BSH, on the indicator to know the voices of animals / objects around him the number of scores of 36 with a percentage of 50% entered in the MB category rose in the first cycle total score 144 with average percentage 66.67% in the category of BSH and the indicator mimic (write and say the letter) AZ the number of scores 33 with percentage of 45.83% entered in the MB category rose in the first cycle total score of 216 with 63.89% average percentage entered in the category of BSH. Overall the total score of 105 with an average percentage of 48.61% entry in the MB category rose in the first cycle of the total score of 456 with the average percentage of 70.37% entered in the category of BSH. Based on the result of the research, it can be seen that the improvement of the ability to recognize the letters of children in TK Pertiwi I Tembilahan Sub-district Indragiri Hilir Regency in the first cycle on the indicators recognize the symbols of the number of score 174 with the average percentage of 70.37% entered in the category of BSH rose in cycle II to 216 with 100% percentage entered in the category of BSB, on the indicator to know the voices of animals / objects in the surrounding number of scores 144 with average percentage 66.67% entry in the category of BSH rose in the second cycle to 209
with 96.76 percent percent entry in the category of BSB and on indicators imitate (write and say) the number AZ score 216 with 63.89% average percentage of entry in the category of BSH rose in the second cycle to 177 with percentage 81.94% entered in the category of BSB. Overall, the total score of 456 with average percentage of 70.37% entered in the category of BSH rose in cycle II to 602 with percentage 92.90% entered in the category of BSB. From the calculation of data analysis, the increase that occurred from pre action to cycle I was 45%. From the calculation of data analysis, the increase that occurred from cycle I to cycle II was 32%. From the calculation of data analysis, the increase that occurred from pre-action to cycle II was 91%. Based on an increase in each cycle, it indicates that the letter puzzel media can improve the ability to recognize the letters of children aged 4-5 years in TK Pertiwi I Tembilahan Sub-district Indragiri Hilir Regency.
