This research was motivated by the low rough motor skill
development of children aged 4-5 years in TK Bunda Sintong. Based on
observations of researchers in TK Bunda Sintong in rough motor skill
development of children namely at throwing and catching game, seen the child in
trouble. This was due to rough motor skill learning in TK Bunda Sintong not run
optimally. Besides learning media is used to increase the gross motor skills of
children is still minimal, some play thing that should exist outside the classroom
to support the child's activities are still limited. Objective is to determine whether
a baseball game can improve rough motor skills Children Aged 5-6 Years in TK
Bunda Sintong, to know how the application of a baseball game in improving
rough motor skills of children in TK Bunda Sintong and to find out how much the
increase in motor rough handling of children in TK Bunda Sintong through
baseball game. This research is a Classroom Action Research (CAR) that was
conducted in February-June 2016. The subjects were children in group B TK
Bunda Sintong totaling 12 people consisting of five sons and seven daughters.
Based on the recapitulation of the rough motor skills of children aged 5-6 years in
the prior cycle, the first cycle and the second cycle, the average value before the
cycle was 37.92% with developing criteria yet, and the first cycle the average
value is 50.55% start developing criteria, while the second cycle of the average
value is 73.05% Emerging accordance with the criteria of Hope. Thus it can be
concluded that the application of Baseball games can enhance rough motor skills
of children aged 5-6 years in TK Bunda Sintong, Kec. Tanah Putih Kab. Rokan
Hilir.
