Strategi Pengelolaan Ekosistem Mangrove Dalam Upaya Penanggulangan Abrasi (Kasus Ekosistem Mangrove Di Desa Teluk Papal Kecamatan Bantan Kabupaten Bengkalis)

Research on mangrove damage by monitoring the change of mangrove
area and analyzing the causal factors. The purpose of this study is to assess the
level of damage and factors causing mangrove damage, calculate the total
economic value and formulate mangrove management strategy located in Teluk
Papal Village, Bantan District. The result of the research shows that the cause
factor of damage is coastal abrasion due to the decrease of mangrove vegetation
in front row, land conversion to plantation land and the existence of brick
production. Estimated economic value of mangrove is calculated from direct
benefits, indirect benefits, benefits of choice and benefits of existence with the
result of Rp. 32.718.854.759,94. Based on the analysis of management strategies
with mangrove management priorities are policies to make regional regulations,
policies for community forest establishment and conservation and rehabilitation
policies. The policy of making the local regulation a top priority because it takes
a legal umbrella by making regional regulations related to the management of
mangrove ecosystems in Teluk Papal Village.
