Analisis Flare Pada Siklus Matahari Ke 24 Berdasarkan Perhitungan Luas Grup Sunspot Berbasis Software Helio V3
The calculation of sunspot group area using Helio v3 software against daily sunspot data has been done. Sunspot group area was used as an indicator of flare productivity. Sunspot daily data of 24th solar cycle for the year of 2008 until 2016 were obtained from the NGDC website. Sunspot daily data were processed to obtain sunspot group area using Helio v3 software. The annual average sunspot group area reached a maximum value of 241,2 MH in 2014. The annual average flare index reached a maximum value of 6,34 in 2014. The results of curve fitting showed that the correlation between sunspot group area and flare index is indicated bythe correlation coefficient that is 0,718. The correlation coefficient value indicated that sunspot group area and flare index have a fairly close relation, where a strong correlation is produced when the correlation coefficient is closed to 1. Flare productivity can be reviewed based on sunspots parameters such us group area and group class. Flares can occur in sunspot groups that have the maximum area and most productive group class. Group classes that reaches the maximum area of a sunspot group that potentially generates a flare is the Fkc group class.
