Meningkatkan Kemampuan Menyimak Melalui Metode Bercerita Dengan Big Book Pada Anak Usia 5-6 Tahun di TK Pertiwi Bangkinang Kabupaten Kampar
Abstract: This research is aimed at 1) to know the ability of listening can be improved through the method of storytelling with big book at 5-6 years old children in kindergarten Bangkinang, 2) to know how to improve the listening ability in children aged 5-6 years through the method of telling stories with Big book in TK Pertiwi Bangkinang, and 3) to know the amount of improvement of listening ability through through story telling method with big book in children aged 5-6 years in TK Pertiwi Bangkinang Kampar regency. The subjects in this study are children aged 5-6 years in kindergarten Perkin Bangkinang consisting of 7 boys and 10 girls. Type of research used PTK (Classroom Action Research). Based on the results of research shows that 1) the method of storytelling with a big book can improve the ability to listen to children aged 5-6 years in Pertiwi Bangkinang Kindergarten Kampar District. As before before applying method of story telling method with big book in category Not yet Developed that is 36.76%, and after held method of story telling with big book cycle I increased to 43,87% with category Start Develop and at cycle II reaches average 69,98 % With the category Expanding Hope, 2) how to improve the ability to listen to children aged 5-6 years in Kindergarten Pertiwi Bangkinang Kampar regency that is using 2 cycles as in 1 cycle there are three meetings so that the whole method of telling a story method with a big book in apply for 6 times meeting with various stories that poured in the big book, 3) the amount of improved listening ability in children aged 5-6 years with the application of methods of story telling method with big bookdi TK Pertiwi Bangkinang Kampar District before the pre cycle to cycle I increase of 19 %. While improvement of listening ability from cycle I to cycle II is 59%, and improvement from pre cycle to cycle II is 90%, overall improvement of listening ability through story telling method with big book that is 90%.
