Meningkatkan Kemampuan Mengenal Huruf Melalui Metode Bercerita Dengan Media Big Book Pada Anak Usia 5-6 Tahun Di Paud Permata Hati Pasir Jaya Kecamatan Rambah Hilir Rokan Hulu
Abstract: The background of this research is the lack of ability to recognize the letters of children are still categorized as MB (Start Developing), because the method often used by teachers in improving the ability to recognize the letters of children only through the method of conversing. With this method turned out to be only passive children in listening to the story, through the method of conversing children are not able to speak systematically even some children are difficult to tell a good language. Therefore it is necessary to improve the ability to recognize the letters of children through storytelling with Big Book media. Based on the analysis of the assessment process of 2 cycles increased, the increase occurred from the pre cycle to cycle I of 22.29%, cycle I to cycle II 61.49% and increase from pre cycle to cycle II of 97.50%. From the results of this study can be concluded that through the method of storytelling with Big Book media can improve the ability to recognize the letters of children aged 5-6 years in PAUD Permata Hati Rambah Hilir Rokan Hulu District. Then the researcher gives recommendation for the teacher better method of telling with Big Book media this can be applied in early childhood to stimulate the development of ability to recognize child letters.
