Durabilitas Beton Blended Abu Terbang (Fly Ash) Sebagai Substitusi Semen Di Air Gambut
This research studied the durability of OPC concrete and OPC fly ash substitution immersed in peat water. Fly ash that has pozzolanic properties is used as a cement substitutive amount to 25%. Concrete that is designed is concrete with quality f'c 15 MPa, 21 MPa, and 29 MPa. The specimens were cured first in normal water for 28 days then was immersed in peat water for 7 and 28 days. Concrete testing performed was the test of compressive strength, weight change and sorptivity. The peat water used as a soaking medium has a pH of 3.0-5.0. The compressive strength of OPC concrete decreased by 7,08% while the compressive strength of OPC-FA-15, OPC-FA-21 and OPC-FA-29 increased by 6,95%, 8,81%, and 12,01% after being soaking in peat water for 28 days. However, the compressive strength change for the three grades of OPC concrete substitution of fly ash is not very significant. Sorptivity of OPC substitution of fly ash decreases with increasing age of immersion. The weight change of OPC substitution of fly ash was increased to 28 days of immersion in peat water. Based on the results of the tests it was concluded that the replacement of cement by fly ash amount to 25% for the three concrete grades has a positive impact on the strength and durability of concrete in peat water.
