Prediksi Garis Pantai Dengan Pengamanan Bangunan Pantai Di Desa Meskom Pesisir Pantai Pulau Bengkalis
This Study aims to Predict of the rate of shoreline change in the Meskom Village of the coastal area of Bengkalis Island, Riau Province, using the DSAS 4.3 ArcGIS 10.3 and GENESIS (GENEralized model for SImulating Shorline change) software. The shoreline simulation used this study was the shoreline sourced from the satellite image and direct mapping taken with the help of drone. The data used for modeling were topography, bathymetry, wind speed and soil characteristics extracted from sediment sample. Forecasting waves use wind data every hour for 10 years (2008 - 2017) to obtain plan height and wave periods by using empirical formulas derived from parametric models based on JONSWAP wave spectrum (CERC, 1984). The prediction of the shoreline changes for the next 20 years (2018-2038) was conducted by calibration using DSAS 4.3 (Digital Shoreline Analysis System) ArcGIS 10.3 so the modeling results were closer to the actual conditions in the field. Then, Simulation model using GENESIS (GENEralized model for SImulating Shorline change) was carried out for these two scenarios, (1) simulation of the shoreline changes without safeguarding coastal buildings, and (2) simulation of the shoreline changes with coastal building security. In the second scenario, a prediction of the shoreline changes will be obtained If a coast line is protected with the use of coastal building facility. Furthremore, it can be compared form two types of coastal building safeguards which one is more efficient than other and provide an advantage in preserving shoreline changes in the next few years.
