Konsistensi Negara Anggota Asean Dalam Mewujudkan Masyarakat Ekonomi Asean (Mea)

The establishment of the EAC (ASEAN Economic Community) is an ASEAN economic block as a continuation of AFTA which is an ASEAN trade block and one of the pillars of the ASEAN Community (advanced regionalism) is part of the trend of various regional-economic groupings formed by nation-states that create a phenomenon called Noodle Bowl Effect. This is the behavior of nation-states in their efforts to obtain economic and political benefits, so that regional-economic integration is only a framework in achieving national interests.
This research aims to identify and analyze negative factors that can threaten the sustainability of the MEA, illustrate the future of MEA and regional integration in Southeast Asia, analyze the factors that led to the occurrence of economic integration in ASEAN, with Analytical Descriptive research methods is a research aimed at describes the relationship between a phenomenon and other phenomena.
Inconsistency of ASEAN member countries is a natural thing because: first, the process of regional integration in Southeast Asia is driven by the State and takes place in a top-down manner. Second, regional economic integration of Southeast Asia is to increase economic and political bargaining power. Finally, MEA and AFTA are economic integration based on commitment without sanction.
