Maya Indeks Dan Kepadatan Larva Aedes Aegypti Di Kecamatan Payung Sekaki Kota Pekanbaru

Based on data from the health department Pekanbaru, Payung Sekaki District is an endemic area. Payung Sekaki District has 4 villages that Labuh Baru Timur as area with the highest case and Air Hitam, as the lowest case area. Endemicity of an area closely related to Maya Index and density of dengue vector Aedes aegypti namely (Ae. aegypti). This study is a descriptive study to determine Maya Index and density of Ae. aegypti in 100 houses endemic and 100 houses non-endemic areas in Payung Sekaki District. The survey was conducted to calculate hygiene risk index (HRI), breeding risk index (BRI), also container index (CI), house index (HI), breteau index (BI), larva-free number (ABJ). The research found in Labuh Baru Timur village as endemic is 75% BRI, 78% HRI, also 7.46% CI, 22% HI, 27% BI, and 78%. Air Hitam village as non-endemic area gained 92% BRI, 89% HRI 10.03% CI, 20% HI, 32% BI, 80% ABJ. Based on the measurement results of the maya index (BRI and HRI) ,and density of dengue vector Ae.aegypti (HI, CI, BI, ABJ) in endemic and non- endemic areas have a medium risk of the spread of dengue cases.
