Hubungan Perilaku Higiene Dengan Kepadatan Tungau Debu Rumah Pada Anak Di Panti Asuhan Kota Pekanbaru
House dust mites (HDM) are widespread in a variety of human environments and are the most common source of allergens in the home and have a major influence on the occurrence of allergic rhinitis and asthma. Orphanages are places where there are many risk factors of this. This study aimed to determine the relationship between hygiene behavior with HDM density in children at the orphanage in Pekanbaru. This research is analytical with cross sectional design that carried out in August 2018 to December 2018. The selection of orphanages used purposive random sampling, the number of samples is 142 people who use proportional random sampling techniques. Childs hygiene behavior was assessed using questionnaires and dust took by a vaccum cleaner and then isolated and identified using a light microscope in the laboratory of the Faculty of Medicine University of Riau. Statistical tests used the Anova and Kruskall Wallis tests. The results of the examination showed an average density at A orphanage 8.76 per gram of dust, B 8.17 per gram of dust, C 9.49 per gram of dust, and D10.03 per gram of dust. House dust mite density in Pekanbaru orphanage is 9,06 per gram of dust. Knowledge, attitudes, and actions of Pekanbaru orphanage are included in the high, positif and good category.
