The background of this study is that many children lack the ability to motivate themselves, children who are unable to control impulses and not exaggerate pleasure, children who can not regulate the mood of children who do not respond and negotiate with other people who are not sensitive against the emotions of others and children who are unable to manage their own emotions. This research is intended to improve the intelligence of children through gobag sodor game in children aged 5-6 years in kindergarten IT Al-kautsar Mandau District Bengkalis District, to know how to apply the game gobag sodor in improving emotional intelligence in children aged 5-6 years in kindergarten IT Al kautsar Mandau Sub-district of Bengkalis Regency, to find out how much increase the emotional intelligence of children in children aged 5-6 years in kindergarten IT Al-kautsar Mandau District Bengkalis District. The research method used is classroom action research (PTK). Research subjects were Kindergarten IT Kindergarten children, 10 people, 8 boys, and 2 girls. Which was held in February until June 2017. The data technique used is observation. The data is processed by percentage. Based on the results of data processing and observation results of children's emotional intelligence which is an increase of the average pre-cycle results that generate 30.8% in the criteria Not Developed (BB), the cycle I increased the child occurred by 17.75% 48.58% on the Starting Evaluation criteria (MB) and the dream cycle increased 25% with an average score of 93.33% with criteria evolving as expected (BSH) gobag sodor measures can increase emotional intelligence in children aged 5-6 years .
