Komunikasi Dalam Kegiatan Maresek Untuk Mempersiapkan Adat Pernikahan Minang (Etnografi Komunikasi Tradisi Maresek Adat Minang Bukittinggi Nagari Salo)

Research on the tradition of maresek is a tradition that was carried out after the assessment of the community of Salo Village, Baso District, Agam District. The researcher saw that most of the people in the Salo Village carried out the rehearsal activities. In carrying out the activities, many of the ninik mamak who did the conversation after offering words according to the customary language that had been set. Seeing this, the researchers were interested in conducting research in the activities of rehearsing in the village of Salo, because this was reinforced by the assumption of researchers who doubt that many contemporary societies are beginning to imitate western culture that is often seen by people from cyberspace. Based on the above problems, it can be used as an indicator to carry out research in the activities of rehearsing so that this recessing activity is not lost from the Salo Village community. This study aims to understand the communicative situation, to describe communicative events and to describe communicative actions in the tradition of maresek adat of Minang, Salo Village, Kec. Baso Kab. Agam
The method used in this study is a qualitative method with an ethnographic approach to communication. Because this method can describe, explain and build relationships from the categories of data found. The reason the researchers took this research was to describe and explain what was being investigated, namely communicative situations, communicative events, and communicative actions that resulted in the communication of the traditional traditions of maresek in the Minang Bukittinggi community in Salo village (ethnographic studies on the maresek tradition in Bukittinggi Salo Village .
The results of the study explained that the Communicative situation in the traditional tradition of Minang in Salo Village was the situation before the event and the event took place. Then, the communicative events in the traditional tradition of the mareek in Minang village in the village of Salo included the types of events, functions and objectives, parchment settings, message forms, message content, interaction methods and interpretation norms. Furthermore, the communicative action in the tradition of Minang marriage maresek in the village of Salo is to understand the traditional traditions of marriage and ninik mamak who understand the norms of marriage. Without the existence of a traditional wedding ceremony in a culture, the tradition of traditional ceremonies will lose the meaning and essence of a marriage custom.
