Pengaruh Limbah Cair Tahu Yang Diberi Em4 Terhadap Pertumbuhan Chlorella Sp. Pada Medium Air Gambut
EM4 fermented tofu industry liquid waste is rich in orgaic materials and can be used as nutrient source for growing Chlorella sp. A study aims to understand the best concentration of the waste has been conducted in July to August 2018. The waste was added to peat water and there were 4 treatments applied, P0 (0%), P1 (20%), P2 (30%), and P3 (40%). Then 100 ml of Chlorella culture (12.023.000 cells/ml) was mixed with 4 L media and it was cultured for 9 day. Parameters measured were the abundance of Chlorella sp., the algae biomass, nitrate, phosphate, dissolved oxygen, free CO2, pH and temperature. Results shown that the best media was P2 (30%) with Chlorella sp. abundance was 9.219. 000 cells/ml and the biomass was 0.74 g/L. The highest Nitrate concentration was in the 1st day, 15.32 mg/L and it reduced into 1.21 mg/L in the 9th day. Phosphate concentration gradually decrease from 26.44 mg/L in the 1st day and became 2.60 mg/L in the 9th day. Nitrate and phosphate decrement indicate that those materials have been used by the algae. Data obtained shown that the fermented tofu industry liquid waste can be used as nutrient source for growing Chlorella sp.Keyword : Organic material, algae culture, nutrient source, fermented liquid waste
