Analisis Isi Lambung Ikan Pantau(Rasbora Cephalotaeniableeker) Di Sungai Kandisdesa Karya Indah Kecamatan Tapung Kabupaten Kampar Provinsi Riau

Rasbora cephalotaenia Bleeker is a spesies of freshwater fish that live in the Kandis River. Information on the feeding habit of the fish, however, is limited. This study aims to understand the stomach content of R. cephalotaenia from the Kandis River has been conducted from March to May 2018. The fish was sampled once every two weeks for two months. There were 128 fishes captured, however only 86 fishes were used for stomach content study, as 42 fishes had empty stomach. Stomach content were analyzed as a basis for calculating the Preponderance Index (IP). The analysis was conducted using a volumetric method. Results shown that the main food of the fish is adalah phytoplankton (Bacillariophyceae IP 50% dan Chlorophyceae IP 47%). The small fishes (43.93 mm SL) consume phytoplankton (Chlorophyceae, Bacillariophyceae, Cyanophyceae) and the big fishes (105.2 mm SL) consume phytoplankton (Chlorophyceae and Bacillariophyceae). The male and female’s stomach content was almost the same. Fish with gonad maturity level II, III and IV eat mainly on phytoplankton, zooplankton, insecta. Based on the data obtained, it can be concluded that the food of R. Cephalotaenia was various, and it is related to the body size, sex and gonad maturity level.
