Status Trofik Danau Sepinang Kabupaten Kampar Provinsi Riau Berdasarkan Tsi (Trophic States Index)
Trophic State Index(TSI) can be used to determine the trophic state of waters. The TSI was calculated based on chemical, biological and physical parameters and it is more representative for analyzing the trophical state of waters. To understand the trophic state of the Sepinang Lake, a research has been conducted in March-April 2018. There were three sampling stations, namely Station 1 (inlet area, from the Kampar River), Station 2 (in the middle of the lake),Station 3 (in the end of the lake). In each station, there were two sampling points, in the surface and in the middle of water column.Sampling were conducted 3 times, once/week. Water quality parameter measured were chlorophyll-a, total phosphorus, transparency, temperature, pH, dissolved oxygen, and free carbon dioxide. Trophic state was calculated based on Carlson’s Trophic State Index (TSI). The water quality parameter values were as follows: transparency 49-63 cm, total phosphorus 0.19-0.35 mg/L, chlorophyll-a 4.32-9.24μg/L, temperature 29-31 oC, pH 5.33-5.60, dissolved oxygen 4.22-5.60 mg/L, andfree carbon dioxide 9.32-15.98 mg/L. Trophic State Index value of the SepinangLake was 65.13-69.09, itindicates that Sepinang lakewaterwaseutrophic.Keywords: Oxbow Lake, Carlson’s Trophic State Index, Euthrophic, Kampar River
