Peran Istri Nelayan Terhadap Peningkatan Pendapatan Rumah Tangga Nelayan Di Kelurahan Lubuk Puding Kecamatan Buru Kabupaten Karimun Provinsi Kepulauan Riau

This research was conducted in June 2018. This study aimed to determine the type of activities of fishermen’s wife in contributing to family income and describing the time spent by fishermen’s wife in increasing household income. The method used in this research is survey method and the determination of sample size using Slovin formula. The results of the study showed that the activities carried out by the village Lubuk Puding sub districts Buru in the fisheries and non fisheries sector.
The type of activity of the fisherman’s wife in the Lubuk Puding village is as fish trader, trading in daily necessities, making crackers and sewing clothes. The lowest outpouring of time is 56 hours/week the wife who works and the dailytrader and the lowest time spent is 21 hours/week the wife who work fish traders. The wife’s role in this study was the highest was 46,1% while the lowest role was 33,3%. The reason for the fishermen’s wife to participate in work is to increase income, their own will and economic pressure. The reason the child works is to help the household economy and meet their own needs. Keywords: Role Wife, Household Incom
