Analisis Usaha Alat Tangkap Purse Seine Di Pelabuhan Perikanan Samudera (Pps) Belawan Kota Medan Provinsi Sumatera Utara

The research on the Purse Seine fishing gear business was conducted on May 25 to June 8, 2018 at Belawan Ocean Fisheries Port (PPS), Medan City, North Sumatra Province. The aim is to find out the size of the investment, business feasibility, and sensitivity analysis of the Purse Seine fishing gear business with a mini size of 30 GT, medium 50 GT and 88 large. The method used is the survey method, the respondents were taken as many as 15 people where each size of the boat was taken by five people, one owner, one captain and three crew members. The results showed that the total investment of Purse Seine in the mini-size was 30 GT in the amount of IDR. 1.030.276.000 and Purse seine of medium size was 50 GT in the amount of IDR. 1.382.105.000, while the size of Purse Seine was 88 GT in the amount of IDR.1.888.635.000. Purse Seine measures 30 GT NPV value of IDR.1.187.774.957 BCR of 1,23 and IRR of 40,95% and purse Seine is measuring 50 GT NPV value of IDR.1.821.572.870, BCR of 1,25 and IRR of 46,39%, while Purse Seine large 88 GT NPV value of IDR.2.607.345.034, BCR of 1,31 and IRR of 48,09%. Thus the business is profitable and feasible to develop. The results of the sensitivity analysis are obtained with the production cost scenario being increased by 10% and the catch decreasing by 10%. Indicating the business condition of purse seine fishing gear for 30 GT vessels has an inadequate level of feasibility, because the BCR value = 1 means that the ship only breaks even if it is not profitable and does not lose.
