Analisis Fungsi Kepala Sekolah Dalam Menerapkan Manajemen Mutu Pendidikan Di SMA Negeri Plus Provinsi Riau

This study aims is to reveal the functions of headmaster in implementing the quality education in SMAN Plus Provinsi Riau which includes the functions of administrator, supervisor and leadership. Data collection technique used are observation, interview and documentation. The informan are headmaster, the representatives such as curriculum, student , infrastructure, teachers, administration staff, student and alumni. Data analysis technique used are reduction, displaying, conclusion and verification. The result shows 1) Headmaster of SMAN Plus Provinsi Riau in general has carried out his function as administrator, it based on the existence of documents such as curriculum, student, personalia and infrastructure document. The implementation of education quality management is administrative task to representatives, administration staff and teachers controlled by headmaster. But the improvement principle hasn’t maximally in infrastructure and educational staff. 2) Supervisor function has been carried out well proven bypreparation of teacher programs, supervision programs, supervising teachers with supervision techniques and follow up on supervision results.But the supervision result in 2018 isn’t continued and there is no recap3) The implementation of headmaster as leader has carried out well such as socialization the school vision mission, quality program to reach the vision mission by involving the school staff, taking decision by deliberation, using leadership style that combines task oriented and relationship, the implementation adjusted by the situation and condition of school staff. Headmaster personality reflected by characteristics: discipline, confidence, stable emotion, friendly and religious. The implementation of three functions by applying the principle focus on customers, including the staff and continues improvement can realizing the vision mission in SMAN Plus Provinsi Riau.
