This study aims to determine the impact of the application of P fertilizer which is very intensive in the first planting cycle of oil palm to the accumulation of various forms of P fractions in the soil (total P, P available, P organic, inorganic P, Ca-P, Al-P, Fe -P and P covered / occluded) as well as Phosphate nutrient uptake in the second oil palm planting cycle.

In the first planting cycle of oil palm, the P soluble content (P Bray II) is 10.22% of the total soil P value, P available (organic P and inorganic P) of 28.04% of total soil P and not available P content (Covered P / P Occluded) of 61.74% of the total soil P. In the second planting cycle of oil palm, the soluble P content (P Bray II) was 2.84 - 6.86% of the total soil P value, P available (organic P and inorganic P) of 12.85 - 19.81% of total soil P and Not available P content (Covered P / P Occluded) was 73,63 – 84,32% from the total soil P. Total phosphate content increases with the age increase of the second cycle of oil palm from 81.59 mg/kg at one year of age and reaches 251.48 mg/kg at 2 years of age with application of EFB. In the second cycle type of oil palm land use there was an increase in inorganic P (Al-P, Fe-P and CaP) and inorganic P content along with the age of oil palm plants. Although the highest inorganic (Al-P, Fe-P and CaP) and P inorganic content values were found in the first cycle type of oil palm land use, they were 0.38 mg/kg, 63.57 mg/kg, 10.59 mg/kg and 2.72 mg/kg. The occluded P values (blanket Al-P and blanket Fe-P) were not significantly different for all types of land use. However, the P occluded value continues to increase with the addition of the age of the second cycle of oil palm plants. Phosphate nutrient absorption by oil palm plants is influenced by available P (P Bray II) and P not available (total P and P inorganic / Fe-P).
