Kelompok Separatis Pro Isis Di Filipina Selatan (Studi Kasus: Abu Sayyaf Group (Asg) & Kelompok Maute)
This study analyzes "Why ASG and Maute groups in the Philippines are pro-ISIS affiliates while ISIS is a common enemy of the international community?" ASG Group and the separatist Moro Maute is still active rebellion until today. They demand freedom to be independent and apart from conditions of poverty and discrimination by the Philippine government by forming an Islamic state based on Islamic law. The two pro-ISIS-affiliated groups have even committed allegiance to ISIS leaders so that they are considered a serious threat to the Philippine government.
This study uses a constructivist perspective by using several relevant concepts such as identity, integration, security, separatist groups and terrorism. This study uses a qualitative method. The form of this research is literature research that uses secondary data that is already available from various literature.
This research shows that the ASG and Maute separatists are pro-ISIS affiliates and commit allegiance to ISIS because of their minority conditions and feel depressed by the discriminatory treatment of the Philippine government, so they need international support in this regard ISIS to pressure the Philippine government. ASG and Maute fought for independence and formed an Islamic state and strengthened the position of Islam in the southern Philippines. ISIS support is considered more feasible because ASG and Maute have been designated as terrorist groups by the United Nations and the Philippine government.
