Profil Penderita Hepatitis B Kronik Berdasarkan Status HBeAg Di RSUD Arifin Achmad Provinsi Riau Periode 2013-2017
Chronic hepatitis B is the persistence of hepatitis B virus infection (HBV) for more than 6 months. Curently it is estimated that there are 2 bilion people infected with HBV and 240 million of them continue to become chronically infected. HBeAg is an antigen that indicates active HBV replication. HBeAg status has an important role in the treatment decision and monitoring of antiviral therapy and as a baseline to identify patients with precore and basal core promoter HBV mutants. The purpose of this study was to determine the profiles of chronic hepatitis B patients based on HBeAg status. This study is a descriptive study with cross-sectional approach. The study sample consisted of 48 chronic hepatitis B patients in RSUD Arifin Achmad Riau Province for 2013-2017. Chronic hepatitis B patients were mostly men(77.1%) and aged between of 31-40 years old (37.5%) and there is no difference between patients with HBeAg-negative and HBeAg-positive. Increased of ALT levels 2X ULN, hypoalbuminemia, HBV DNA level >20000 IU/ML, and liver fibrosis at F2-F4 stage were frequently found both in HBeAg-positive and HBeAg-negative patients.
Keywords: ALT, albumin, chronic hepatitis B, HBV DNA, HBeAg status, liver fibrosis.
