Karakteristik Pasien Tuberkulosis Paru Relaps Dengan Diabetes Melitus Tipe 2 Di RSUD Arifin Achmad Provinsi Riau Tahun 2014 -2018
T2DM is a risk factor that increases the incidence of pulmonary TB relapse. In T2DM patients, a decrease in immunity may increase the number of TB microbes which may cause TB relapse due to reinfection or reactivation of previous TB infections. The purpose of this study was to identify the characteristics of pulmonary TB relapse patients with T2DM. This was a retrospective decriptive study using medical record data. The technique used in this research is total sampling. The sample of this study were all pulmonary TB relapse patients with T2DM who were treated at the pulmonary clinic at Arifin Achmad General Hospital of Riau Province in 2014-2018. The results of this study indicated that the highest age was 46-55 years (63.6%), the highest sex was male (69.7%), the highest level of education was junior high school / equivalent and senior high school / equivalent (30, 3%), many patients came from the Pekanbaru (51.5%), the most types of work were entrepreneur (45.5%), the highest blood sugar level was ≥200 mg / dL (75.8%), the most result of sputum examination was negative (51.5%) and the most common component of chest X-ray lesions was infiltrates (45.5%).
