Strategi Pengembangan Jasa Barber Shop Di Kota Pekanbaru
This study aims to determine the right strategy to develop service industries in the city of Pekanbaru. The research uses secondary data and primary data obtained directly from respondents in the Barber Shop service industry in Pekanbaru City, amounting to 12 business units. The analytical methods used in this study are SWOT Analysis and IE Matrix. Based on the results of the SWOT Analysis, it shows that the barber shop service industry in Pekanbaru City has a strategy in developing the business, as well as in facing internal and external problems from the industry. Based on the analysis on the IE Matrix, the barber shop service industry in Pekanbaru City is in cell V which has internal and external capabilities in a stable growth state. Based on the SWOT Analysis diagram, this strategy is in Quadrant I (Aggressive Strategy). The strategy set out in this condition is to support aggressive growth policies. This strategy is more focused on the SO strategy (Strenght-Opportunity), which is by using the power to take advantage of opportunities. The development strategy carried out is to expand the market to other regions so that the Barber Shop service business can develop and advance, maintain the quality of services and services to maintain customer loyalty to use the barber shop service business.
