Persepsi Dan Sikap Masyarakat Perkotaan Terhadap Produk Sagu Sebagai Bahan Pangan Alternatif Di Kota Pekanbaru
This research aims to : (1) Identify the characteristics of community in Pekanbaru city; (2) Identifying perceptions of urban communities on sago products as alternative food ingredients; (3) Analyzing the effect of characteristics on urban perceptions of sago products as alternative food ingredients; and (4) Analyze the attitude of urban communities to sago products as alternative food ingredients. The research was conducted by survey method and sampling of 100 samples. Data analysis using descriptive analysis,Scale Likert’s Summated Ratting (SLR), Multiple Linear Regression, and Fishbein Multiattribute.
The results of the study indicate that community characteristics include age, education, number of dependents, income and access to information. The average respondent's answer scores 3.26 with the category quite agree for making sago products as alternative food ingredients. Variables that influence the perceptions of urban communities regarding sago products as alternative food ingredients are age, education and information access. Community attitudes towards sago as an alternative food based on testing two products to be consumed get value 7.32 with a positive category and the value of people's attitudes towards sago noodles is 7.33 with a positive category.
