Karakteristik Beton Geopolimer Abu Terbang Hybrid Menggunakan Semen Portland Di Air Gambut
Geopolymer hybrid was made by activating fly ash with alkaline activator and Portland cement to replace fly ash, to accelerate curing in ambient temperature. This research aims to study the characteristics of geopolymer hybrid concrete using OPC and PCC after exposure to peat water for 7, 14, 28, and 56 days. The OPC concrete with a target strength of 20 MPa was used as a control concrete. The alkaline activator used has NaOH of 10M and modulus ratio (Ms) 2.5. Fly ash was replaced by cement by 15%. Compressive strength test, porosity, TCLP, AAS, SEM-EDX dan FTIR analysis was carried out. In general, OPC concrete has decreased compressive strength with increasing immersed period. The geopolymer hybrid PCC concrete has increased compressive strength to 56 days in peat water by 45.44%. Meanwhile, the compressive strength of the geopolymer hybrid OPC concrete has increased until 28 days by 30.06% but has decreased until 56 days. The porosity of geopolymer hybrid concrete decreased until 28 days by 11.67% and 8.30%, but after 56 days the geopolymer hybrid OPC porosity has increased. TCLP and AAS tests result shows that the geopolymer hybrid PCC has lower heavy metals content and leaching quantity than other concrete types. SEM-EDX and FTIR show that the geopolymer hybrid PCC has a better microstructure and more stable after exposure in the peat water. Based on the results, the geopolymer PCC has better characteristics and resistance to the peat water than the geopolymer OPC and the conventional OPC concrete.
