Penggunaan Ert (Electrical Resistivity Tomography) Untuk Analisis Karakteristik Gambut Dan Cadangan Karbon Di Pulau Bengkalis
This study deals with the application of ERT (Electrical Resistivity Tomography) for analysis of peat characteristics and carbon stocks. The use of ERT in this activity was assisted by GPS RTK to investigate find out the coordinates and elevation of the surveyed points, and hand drill to investigate the depth of the peat. The use of the ERT in the field applied the transect method, so that the peat coordinates and thickness data can be drawn from the map of the contour thickness of the peat.
The results of the analysis at 12 points were examined, having an average thickness of 6.19 meters. The elevation data and peat thickness showed relatively strong correlation with R = 0.8964 and determination coefficient R2 = 0.7205. There was 72% of soil elevation determined by deep peat depth, and 28% was determined by other variables. It was found from this reseach that some geoelectric survey results not the same as the results of hand drill in the field. Carbon stock in Bengkalis island are about 214.34371 tons / ha in each thickness of 50 cm. Peat thickness affects 2.8% of the water table. While the remaining 77.2% is influenced by other factors. The resistivity value affects the maturity of peat by 3.6%. While the remaining 96.6% is influenced by other factors.
