Management of protected areas Forest Park Sultan Syarif Hasyim managed by UPT KPHP Minas Model Tahura Sultan Syarif Hasyim under the auspices of the Department of Environment and Forests of Riau Province. The main problems in the management of Forest Park Sultan Syarif Hasyim is the occurrence of encroachment by the surrounding community forests for oil palm plantation andin the middle of the woods bahkanterdapat few small villages inhabited by dozens of families who worked as an oil palm plantation workers.
This study aims to determine and analyze the implementation of conservation management Forest Park Sultan Syarif Hasyim Riau Province and determine the role of institutions or groups in maximizing the management of Forest Park Sultan Syarif Hasyim Riau.Penelitian Province using qualitative research methods of data collection techniques in-depth interviews, observation and documentation. Mechanical election informants in this research is using purposive technique. This type of data is primary data and secondary data. And data analysis model is descriptive qualitative.
The results showed that in the implementation of conservation management still has not run optimally. Structuring and mapping forest boundaries are not running optimally lead to persistence of conflict with society and between the license holder. Besides the lack of competent resources and minimal budgets also make some programs do not run optimally.Intansi or related groups that have a role in the management of Forest Park Sultan Syarif Hasyim has coordinated with licensees namely by way of conducting sharing and flowing.
