Analisis Faktor-Faktor Risiko Yang Berhubungan Dengan Kejadian Skabies Di Pondok Pesantren Teknologi Riau

Scabies is an infectious skin disease caused by Sarcoptes scabiei which can cause damage to the skin. This study was aimed to analyze the factors associated with the Incidence of scabies at Riau Technology Boarding School. The method used in this study was a descriptive correlation with using cross sectional approach. The sampling technique was total sampling with the amount 219 respondents. The instruments used questionnaire that has been tested for validity and reliability. The analyses utilized were univariate to description of the variable and bivariate analyses using chi square test. The result showed there was relationship between gender and incidence of scabies (p value= 0,000), personal hygiene with incidence of scabies (p value= 0,000), knowledge with incidence of scabies (p value= 0,000) and attitude with incidence of scabies (p value= 0,005). The result showed there is no relationship between nutritional status and incidence of scabies (p value= 0,713). The results of this study recommend that islamic boarding school to provide education to santri related to health behavior as an effort to prevent scabies and improve clean and healthy living habits.
