Strategi Pengembangan Usaha Budidaya Hidroponik Di Kota Pekanbaru

This research was conducted in Pekanbaru, Riau Province.The aim of the research is to determine the business development strategy of hydroponic cultivation in Pekanbaru. The data used in this research are primary and secondary data. Primary data is obtained by using the techniques of observation, an interview and by giving questionnaires, while the secondary data is obtained from various publication sources. The analysis data method which used in this research is descriptive-quantitative approach using SWOT analysis. This research used a total sampling method where there are only 17 units oh hydroponic business in Pekanbaru which all was used as a sample. The main results of this research showed that the score on the IFE matrix is 2,7991 while the score on the EFE matrix is 2,62, so the total score in the IE matrix places the hydroponic cultivation business in Pekanbaru at the cell V, namely the strategy of holding and maintaning as well as market penetration and product development strategies.
