Pengaruh Pemberian Rebusan Daun Kumis Kucing (Orthosiphon Aristatus) Terhadap Tekanan Darah Pada Penderita Hipertensi Derajat 1

Hypertension does not give specific symptoms, but hypertension is often being a symptom of a dangerous disease. In addition to medical treatment, hypertension treatment can be complemented by complementary therapy. One of the complementary therapies for hypertension is giving decoction of kumis kucing leaves (Orthosiphon aristatus). The aim of this research was to analyze the effect of giving decoction of kumis kucing leaves to blood pressure in patient with hypertension stage 1. The design of this research was quasy experimental with non-equivalent control group approach. This research was conducted in Labuh Baru Barat Village of Payung Sekaki District, Pekanbaru City with samples were 34 respondents, which devided equally into 2 groups and recruited with purposive sampling technique. The experiment group was given therapy for 7 consecutive days, while the control group was not given therapy. The univariate analysis was used to see the characteristic frequency and bivariate analysis used the dependent t-test and independent t-test. The statistical test results showed a change in mean of pre-test blood pressure (149,02 / 94,27 mmHg) and post-test (143,70 / 91,13 mmHg) in the experiment group with p value 0,000 (
