Perbedaan Interval Waktu Pemberian Probiotik Terhadap Pertumbuhan Dan Peningkatan Kadar Omega-3 Ikan Nila (Oreochromis Niloticus)
Probiotics are living microbes that are beneficial to fish. And are useful for increasing fish response to disease, increasing nutrition in feed, and improving water quality. This study aims to analyze and determine the best time interval for giving probiotics to growth and increase omega-3 levels of tilapia fish (Oreochromis niloticus). The method used in this study is the experimental method, using a completely randomized design (CRD) with 4 levels of treatment and 3 replications. The level of treatment of this study were P0 (once given probiotics during the study), P1 (giving probiotics once every 5 days), P2 (giving probiotics at 10 days intervals) and P3 (giving probiotics at 15 day intervals). The container used in this study was a fiber tank (volume 250 liters). The container was filled with 100 liters of water (salinity 17 ppt). Stocking density of this study was 300 fish/m3. The results showed that differences in time intervals had an effect on growth and increasing omega-3 levels of tilapia. Probiotic administration at 5-day intervals (P1) is the best treatment for tilapia maintenance, compared to other time intervals. The values of absolute weight growth, absolute length growth, specific growth rate, feed conversion ratio, feed efficiency, floc volume, protein floc, floc fat, plankton abundance and omega-3 levels were wrote in the container for 5 day intervals, were 3,14 ml/L, 29.87%, 12.61%, 973.100 cells/L and 0,25%, respectively.
