Kandungan Logam Berat (Cd Dan Cr) Di Insang, Otot, Dan Organ Reproduksi Ikan Belida (Notopterus Notopterus) Dari Hilir Sungai Sail, Pekanbaru
Sail River is polluted by heavy metals such as Cd and Cr, which come from industrial and domestic sources around the river. Due to the presence of the pollutant, organisms living in that river are affected by those heavy metals. A study aims to understand the heavy metal (Cd and Cr) content in gills, muscles, and reproductive organ of Notopterus notopterus from the downstream of the Sail River has been conducted in December 2017-January 2018. The fish was sampled from the downstream, 2 times, once/ month. Total fish captured was 35 and they were categorized into 3 classes, small (12.7 to 17.8 cm TL) , medium (17.8-22.9 cm TL), and large (22.9-28 cm TL). Gill, muscle and gonad were then analyzed for Cd and Cr content. Result shown that Cd and Cr content in the muscle in large fish was higher than those of the medium and small sized fish. Cd content in the muscle was 0.65 mg/kg to 2.95 mg/kg, Cr in the muscle was 13.72 mg/kg to 33.10 mg/kg. Cd and Cr content in gill 0.5 mg/kg to 1 mg/kg, in the gonad 0.74 mg/kg to 2.71 mg/kg. Cr content in the gill 12.82 mg/kg to 26.83 mg/kg, in the gonad 11.78 mg/kg to 29.89 mg/kg.
