Strategi Pengembangan Industri Kreatif Subsektor Percetakan Di Kota Pekanbaru
This study aims to determine the development strategy of the creative printing sub-sector in the city of Pekanbaru. The location of this research was conducted in the city of Pekanbaru because the situation of the development of the printing business unit in the city of Pekanbaru experienced a fluctuating decline. The population of this study amounted to 48 printing businesses by taking a sample of 32 printing businesses in Pekanbaru City using purposive sampling method. The analytical method used in this study is Anasilis SWOT, and IE Matrix. Based on the results of the Internal External (IE) matrix, the printing industry in the city of Pekanbaru is in the V region, which has moderate internal and external capabilities that are well managed with market penetration and product development strategies. Based on the results of the SWOT analysis the printing industry in the city of Pekanbaru is in quadrant I, an aggressive strategy. Namely the strength is greater than weakness and the opportunity is greater than the threat so that the right strategy to be applied to the printing industry in the city of Pekanbaru is a strategy of SO (opportunities). The SO strategy according to the SWOT matrix is to increase production and promotion and product development activities so that they are able to face the threat that arises due to the development of technology.
