Analisis Nilai – Nilai Penguatan Pendidikan Karakter Dalam Novel Laskar Pelangi Karya Andrea Hirata

Strengthening Character Education is one of Nawacita who proclaimed by President Joko Widodo. Strengthening Character Education be urgent prioritized because issues threatening the integrity and the future of the nation like trend of children at drugs, violent behavior in enviromental education and the rise of the media information on the modern era that makes children easy to fall. This study aims to describe the values of strengthening character education in the novel Laskar Pelangi by Andrea Hirata which used qualitative method. Data collection techniques used in the research method is a observation technique. In this study, there are three ways to analyze the data : (1) data reduction, (2) model display, (3) verification conclusion. The result of this study researchers found 5of the main values which is the focus of the movement of strengthening character education that is religious value, nationalist value, independent value, mutual assistance valeu and integrity value. The values of strengthening character education most dominate is religious value. Researchers also found the interaction between the values. In implementation of PPK in Elementary School through the novel teachers holds an important role of succes character education. Because teachers is a main figure who become a role model of students.
