Analisis Struktur Pasar Industri Mie Basah Di Kota Pekanbaru
This research was conducted in the city of Pekanbaru on producers of wet noodles. The purpose of this study was to determine the market structure of the wet noodle industry in Pekanbaru City. The population in this study were 11 business units. The data used comes from primary and secondary data obtained from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) and the Industry and Trade Office of Pekanbaru City. Primary data were obtained from interviews and questionnaires. This research uses descriptive analysis and quantitative analysis to analyze the market structure of the wet noodle industry in Pekanbaru City. The analytical tools used in this study are market share, concentration ratio (CRN), Hirschman Herfindahl Index (IHH) and barriers to market entry.
Based on the results of the study showed that the market share of the wet noodle industry in Pekanbaru City was valued at 68.18% for the highest market share in Tenaga Muda companies and the lowest market share was 1.54% in Desi companies. The CR4 calculation is 68.18% which means the market structure of the wet noodle industry in Pekanbaru City is in the strict oligopoly market structure and the Herfindahl-Hircsman Index calculation with a value of 1382.30% which indicates that the market structure of the wet noodle industry in Pekanbaru City is oligopolistic. Barrier to Entry barriers in the wet noodle industry in Pekanbaru City which are measured using the Minimun Efficiency of Scale (MES) formulation shows a figure of 20.81% where the Minimun Efficiency of Scale (MES) value is more than 10% indicating that the obstacles high market entry.
