Budaya Batak Toba Sebagai Daya Tarik Wisata Di Sianjur Mulamula Kabupaten Samosir Provinsi Sumatera Utara

ABSTRACT

Sianjur Mulamula is known as the origin of Adat, the origin of of the clan and the origin of Bataknese. Therefore the Batak Toba tribe in Sianjur Mulamula has a culture that is still maintained by the community. There are several historical sites about the ancestors of Batak people who are the potential of cultural tourism in Sianjur Mulamula, Samosir Regency. This study aims to explore the potential of Batak Toba culture as an attraction for cultural tourism.This study uses Cualitative method with a descriptive approach. The research subjects were the Sianjur Mulamula Subdistrict Institution, traditional leaders, tourist destination managers of tourism conscious groups (Pokdarwis) and the community. Data collection is done through observation, document study, interviews and documentation. While data analysis is done by reducing data, presenting data, drawing conclusions. The results of this study indicate that the community has a daily culture such as Martarombo, Marulos and Mardebban. In addition, there is tradition Batak tribe who need to be commercialized as tourist attractions, namely wedding ceremonies, death ceremonies,and (Mangongkal Holi) Digging bones ceremonies. The cultural tourism destinations in Sianjur Mulamula are Pusuk Buhi Mountain, Aek Sipitu Dai, Batu Sawan, Sopo Guru Tatea Bulan, Batu Hobon, Siraja Batak Village, Bona-Bona, Aek Bunga-Bunga, and Batu Parhusipan Boru Pareme.The community and youth in Sianjur Mulamula hava a role in developing, preserving and protecting the Batak Toba culture by supporting government programs in tourism development.
