Pengaruh Kerapatan Biorafia Terhadap Penurunan Kadar Logam Berat (Pb Dan Cr) Yang Terkandung Pada Air Sungai Sail, Pekanbaru
One of pollutants that enter the Sail River is heavy metal. Efforts to reduce the level of heavy metal (Pb and Cr) can be conducted by using biocords. In this research the biocord fibers were replaced with raffia fibers (biorafia). To understand the effect of biorafia density toward the decreasing level of heavy metal such as Pb and Cr on the water of the Sail River, a research has been done in March - April 2019. There were 3 treatments applied, namely P1 (rare), P2 (moderate), and P3 (dense), 3 replications in each treatment. The seeding time of the biofilm was 30 days and the retention time of the water was 4.5 hours. The effectiveness of Pb decrement was 67.146%, 70.465% and 67.242% in P1, P2 and P3 respectively. While the effectiveness of Cr decrement was 81.346%, 83.335% and 81.893% respectively. Based on this research, it could be concluded that the biorafia was able to reduce the concentration of Pb and Cr in the water, but the density of biorafia did not affect the decrement of those parameters.
