Delay in handling someone who has a psychiatric disorder will have a negative impact, recurrence becomes frequent, treatment becomes increasingly difficult and will eventually lead the patient to a chronic prolonged state. In addition, the number of cases of mental disorders that continue to grow will have an impact on increasing the country's burden, decreasing human productivity and increasing crime rates. The absence of public knowledge about the symptoms of psychiatric disorders so that many people do not know if they or their siblings have psychiatric disorders, then a WEB-based expert system is needed that can be used to diagnose mental disorders and can provide advice on early treatment of psychiatric disorders.
This expert system uses the Case Based Reasoning method as an inference engine where disease reasoning is obtained based on old cases that have occurred and to ensure the level of confidence of a disease against the symptoms chosen by the user using the Certainty Factor method. From the results of testing based on the Black Box and User Acceptance Test that has been carried out, that this expert system is feasible to be used to diagnose mental disorders.
