Gambaran Kualitas Tidur Pasien Kanker Yang Menjalani Kemoterapi Berdasarkan Lokasi Dan Stadium
Abstract
Cancer is a high cause of death in the world. Because the cancer attacks healthy cells divide rapidly in the body. Cancer has 4 stages, at an advanced stage the right therapy is given is Chemotherapy. Giving chemotherapy based on location and stage of cancer in patients. Chemotherapy causes sleep disorders in cancer patients. The aim of the study was to describe the sleep quality of cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy based on location and stage. The design of this study is descriptive with a quantitative approach. Samples were taken by nonprobability sampling technique with the type of accidental sampling totaling 60 respondents. The measuring instrument used is the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI) questionnaire to measure the sleep quality of respondents. The results showed that almost all respondents were female with a total of 58 people (96.7%) respondents, most of them in the age range 41-59 years (75%) respondents, the highest education was high school with 25 people (41.7%) respondents, the highest number of occupations is 47 people (78.3%) respondents, most locations or types of cancer are breasts with 49 people (81.7%) respondents, the most cancer stage is stage III with 42 people (70.0%) respondents, the amount of chemotherapy most of them were 4 times 22 people (36.7%) respondents. It is hoped that this research can be a source of information in improving health services and referral for nursing in improving nursing care for cancer patients who undergoing chemotherapy.
