Evaluasi Waktu Sinyal Pada Persimpangan Jalan Riau – Jalan Yos Sudarso Kota Pekanbaru

The intersection signaling Riau road - Yos Sudarso road is one of the main streets in Pekanbaru City, which is prone to traffic jams. The environmental conditions at the intersection are commercial areas marked by shops near the intersection. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the signal time at the intersection of Riau roads - Yos Sudarso road. Data collection is based on primary data and secondary data and the method used in the analysis of the performance of this intersection is the Indonesian Road Capacity Manual (MKJI) 1997. The results of research with data processing using the MKJI 1997 method, it can be seen that at the intersection of three signaling Jalan Riau - Jalan Yos Sudarso experienced a high degree of saturation (DS), which is equal to 0.88 (DS> 0.85 saturated). After an alternative experiment using the 1997 MKJI method, namely the addition of an effective width of 2 meters to the Jalan Yos Sudarso section and changes in signal data, a decrease in degree of saturation (DS) was obtained, DS = 0.84, And changes in signal data are cycle time (c) of 70 seconds, total lost time (LTI) of 9 seconds and green time on each arm namely: North = 10 seconds, West = 26 seconds, and East = 25 seconds.
