Analisis Karakteristik Pasien Skizofrenia Di Rumah Sakit Jiwa Tampan Pekanbaru

Abstract
Schizophrenia is one of mental disorder characterized by distortions of thinking affected language, perception, and reality of individu. The purpose of this research is to analyze description of schizophrenia patient characteristics in Tampan Mental Hospital of Pekanbaru with design of research was descriptive kuantitative. The samples in this research are 206 respondents taken with inclusi criteria and by using saturated sampling technique. Measuring instruments used in the documentation form of check list. The analysis was used univariate. The result showed is from 206 respondents, 125 respondents are the male gender (60.7%), the age of adult (36-45 years) are 63 respondents (30.6%), 148 respondents are Islam religion (71.8%), education level of Elementary School are 70 respondents (34.0%), 99 respondents are jobless (48.1%), 107 respondents are unmarried (51.9%), 46 respondents live in Pekanbaru (22.3%), 113 respondents are schizophrenia paranoid (54.9%). It describes that mental disorder can happen with whoever, so that it is important to keep a mental health. The result of this research may aid a team of mental health to provide the appropriate health services on characteristics of patient.
