Pengalaman Pasien Kanker Yang Menjalani Kemoterapi Pertama Kali

Abstract
This research is a qualitative research with phenomenological approach which aimed to explore the experience of cancer patient who underwent the first chemotherapy. The number of participants in this research were three people taken with purposive sampling technique. Data were collected throught in-depth interviews using open-ended questions. The result of this research have six themes: the first response in the diagnosis of cancer, knowledge of chemotherapy, the first feeling of chemotherapy, side effect of chemotherapy, the body’s coping of stress and the support of the family. The result of this research are expected to new participants in the diagnose cancer does not experience prolonged anxiety because the family is always support for healing and nurses can provide the correct knowledge related to the first chemotherapy action that will be undertaken.
