Pemodelan Hidrolika Untuk Pemetaan Genangan Banjir Sungai Sibinail Kabupaten Pasaman
Climatic conditions in the Sibinail watershed which have quite high rainfall often cause flooding. Frequent flooding results in economic and social losses for the surrounding community living on the banks of the Sibinail River. In addition to rainfall factors, flooding that occurred on the Sibinail River was also influenced by poor river cross-sectional conditions. Therefore it is necessary to analyze the flooding of the Sibinail River in order to provide technically appropriate handling of the problem of flooding on the Sibinail River. Information regarding flood depth, flood inundation area and level of risk is needed to provide technically appropriate handling. By doing hydraulics modeling information about the depth of the flood, the area of inundation area and the level of risk due to flood discharge based on a specific return period can be obtained.
In this research, a hydraulic modeling is carried out to obtain information about the depth of the flood, the area of inundation area and the level of risk which can then be presented in the form of mapping. Hydraulic modeling is done using the HEC-GeoRAS and HEC-RAS Software. HEC-GeoRAS and HEC-RAS apply Geographic Information Systems (GIS) in their use. The HEC-GeoRAS software which is an extension of ArcGIS Desktop is used for river delineation and inundation area mapping. while for the analysis of water level profile models used HEC-RAS software.
The results obtained from the simulation of hydraulic modeling on the Sibinail River in the form of inundation area and inundation depth. Sibinail River has the largest inundation area in the Q50 discharge of 72.84 ha and the smallest in Q2 of 34.68 ha. Whereas the greatest extreme depth at Q50 is 3.59 m while the smallest at Q2 is 2.57 m.
Flood hazard classification on the Sibinail River for Q2 is dominated by low flood hazard by 40.37%, Q5 is dominated by low flood hazard by 38.08%, Q10 is dominated by low flood hazard by 36.74%, Q25 is dominated by high flood hazard by 37.56% and in Q50 is dominated by high flood hazard by 39.32 %. Flood-prone areas that occur on the banks of the Sibinail River are flat areas and are at a fairly low elevation in the lower reaches of the Sibinail River.
